LoRaMapper coverage heatmap on a building floor plan

Made for beginners and RF professionals alike

Simple for beginners

A guided workflow: upload a plan, drop a gateway, walk your site. Colours tell you instantly where coverage is good or weak — no RF knowledge needed.

Powerful for professionals

RSSI/SNR/SF per sample, spreading-factor-aware quality index, multi-gateway capture, inner-wall attenuation, live network-server ingest and 3D evaluation.

Two kinds of sites: buildings and outdoor

Model indoor coverage on floor plans, or outdoor coverage on a real map — whatever your project needs.

Building (floor plan)

Building (floor plan)

Upload floor plans of one or more storeys, place gateways and walk each floor. Ideal for offices, warehouses, parking garages, hospitals and industrial sites.

Outdoor (map)

Outdoor (map)

Work on a real map with GPS measurements and terrain elevation — for campuses, districts, agriculture or city-wide coverage.

Everything you need to plan indoor coverage

From the first floor plan to a full 3D coverage model.

Floor plan upload

Upload images or multi-page PDFs and calibrate scale.

Gateway placement

Place gateways on the plan and set their height.

Walk & measure

Record real RSSI/SNR at points as you walk the site.

2D heatmaps

Interpolated coverage field from your real measurements.

3D evaluation

Explore coverage across floors in an interactive 3D view.

Multi-floor

Manage many floors per building in one place.

Campaigns

Group measurements into named test runs.

Device management

Register and manage multiple LoRaWAN devices.

Multi-gateway capture

Record every receiving gateway per point in one measurement.

Signal quality index

A 0–100 score per point, spreading-factor aware.

Live device ingest

Feed real uplinks straight from your network server.

Outdoor & terrain

GPS measurements and terrain-aware outdoor coverage.

Wall attenuation Coming soon

Model inner-wall signal loss (coming soon).

What you need to get started

Three things — that’s it. LoRaMapper ties them together.

A LoRaWAN field tester

A handheld LoRaWAN device that sends uplinks as you walk. Its RSSI/SNR at each point is what LoRaMapper maps.

At least one gateway

One or more LoRaWAN gateways — either a portable test gateway you carry, or the fixed gateways you already have on site.

A network server (LNS)

A LoRaWAN Network Server that forwards uplinks to LoRaMapper via webhook — e.g. TTN, ChirpStack, Loriot or Actility. Minimal setup: one HTTP integration.

Field tester, gateway and network server working together

Mobile or existing gateways — both work

Test with a portable gateway, or measure against the gateways already installed.

Mobile gateway on a tripod versus a fixed wall-mounted gateway

Mobile gateway

Carry a portable, battery-powered gateway to the spot you want to cover and measure right there — perfect for planning a new deployment before any hardware is mounted.

Existing (static) gateways

Already have gateways installed? Walk the site with just a field tester and measure real coverage against your live gateways — LoRaMapper records which gateway received each point.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your plan

Add a building, upload floor plans and set the scale.

  2. 2

    Place gateways & measure

Position gateways and walk the site to record real signal.

  3. 3

    See your coverage

View 2D and 3D heatmaps and share the result.
